Asheville is known for it’s culinary diversity, and is often referred to as a “Foodie City”. It is also know for the vast array of breweries in and around the city. Asheville was first named Beer City USA in 2009 and has remained at the top of the list since then. What’s a little less known is that Asheville and the surrounding areas also have some wonderful vineyards and wineries…one being the famous Biltmore Estate listed above as one of our ten favorite things in Asheville! Make sure to check out the tours, tastings and gorgeous views that some of the wineries and breweries offer, including Hendersonville’s
Crest of the Blue Ridge Wine Trail boasting several wineries (some are mentioned below) all of which produce high-quality wines. While there are way too many restaurants, breweries and wineries to list here, check out romanticasheville.com/foodie_favorites.htm for a comprehensive listing of them as well as rooftop bars and more!
